Sizing Considerations

Capacity is  measured by both the amount of data that will be stored locally on the Barracuda Backup Server and by the amount of data that will be sent  offsite and stored in the cloud. A backup server that is twice the size of a full backup of all current data typically will also be able to store all historical data. Once compression is applied and data is sent offiste, expect to use rougly 1.5 times that same full backup to store all current and historical data. For help sizing the appropriate Barracuda Backup Service, customers should contact a Barracuda Networks system engineer.
